Migratory Reactive Tendonitis?

I am waiting to see a Rheumatologist, as appointments in my area are booked up over two months in advance. For 2 months, in the evening I have acute tendon pain (unilateral, each night somewhere different.) Wrist, thumb, knee, foot, shoulder, elbow. By morning it is always gone. All of my bloodwork came back normal–no to Lyme’s, 3 negative RA tests, no gout, no increased sed rate or sign of infection. My colon feels distended, and I have gained 10 pounds in the last month, which is very, very unusual for me. NSAID’s Mobic is not helping (21 days), now my family doctor wants to prescribe Celebrex.

Zolendronic Acid and Osteoporosis

Inquiring about Zoledronic Acid. Is it FDA approved and can I ask my doctor and insurance about beginning this once yearly? I am 60 years of age and diagnosed with osteoporosis for about 5 years now. Currently taking Actonel once weekly.

Palindromic Rheumatism and RA

Does palindromic rheumatism always turn into full blown RA?

Botox injections safe while on Methotrexate and Humira?

I’ve been diagnosed with RA and have been receiving treatment for about 2 years. I am well controlled w/ Humira & Methotrexate, I’d like to resume Botox injections for my squint and frown lines. Do you know of any contraindications or concerns using Botox for RA or with my current medications?

Treatment options for Arthritis

I take tramadol for my arthritis pain, but it realy does not seem to help much. Is tramadol also a good drug to be taking for the pain and inflamation? My doctor will not put me on any other medications like Humira; he says that I don’t need it, but sometimes my hands, hips and knees hurt really bad that i also have to take some tylenol arthritis to stop the pain.

Cellcept as a treatment of Giant Cell Arteritis?

I was diagnosed with Giant Cell Arteritis almost 2 years ago and have not been able to take less than 8 mg. of prednisone without severe headaches returning. My doctor has suggested trying Cellcept in conjunction with the prednisone and then eventually decreasing the prednisone until I no longer take it at all. After reading the side effects of Cellcept, I am very apprehensive about starting such a potent drug. What experience does your center have using this new drug?
