Prednisone for Rheumatoid Arthritis and Pregnancy

I have RA for about 4 years but the X ray after those years came out normal, so the is no damage on my joints.”so far”, I went to the Doctor cause I was having pain on my whole body, specialy in the mornings and night. I told the doctor I want to get my wife pregnag this year and I do not want to take methotraxate before I’m done with my baby .the doctor put me only on 10 mg of prenidsone and I FELL GREAT!!!! , so can I just be on prenidsone???? thanks!!!!

Lupus and prednisone

I have been diagnosed with SLE for over 32 and am only 42 and am a white male. I suffer from arthritis all over my body and the best medication has been prednizone for me. What is the long term effect of the prednizone to my internal organs?

Enbrel and positive tuberculin test

I am in Methotrexate for rheumatoid arthritis and was going to add enbrel, but my tuberculin test is positive since many years ago, with negative X-ray. How many months of Isoniazid prophylaxis should I take, and after how much time can I start the enbrel. Can methotrexate be combined with isoniazid? thanks.

knee MRI findings

Do i have to get surgery if i have Bone Marrow Edema in the knee?

Folic acid and cancer risk

My husband has been on Enbrel weekly and was doing well. Last year, he had problems in one hip (which turned out to be a hip labral tear unrelated to RA which was subsequently debrided successfully with arthroscopic hip surgery). Before the rheumatologist knew the pain was not related to RA, he put him on 10mg methotrexate weekly in addition to the Enbrel. Should my husband try and get off the 1mg/daily of Folate & the methotrexate given the recent negative press about too much folate encouraging pre cancers to develop? I read that taking any of the biologics can be a risk for developing cancer. Thank you for your advice.

Fibromyalgia, myasthenia gravis and ankylosing spondylitis – any relationship?

my father has had myasthenia gravis for app. 50 yrs., my older brother was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis app. 10 yrs. ago, and i was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 2 yrs. ago–is there a correlation of these diseases? also, is fibromyalgia considered an autoimmune disease? Lastly, i saw a show about an experimental stem cell surgery for back pain–is there currently any experimental (or otherwise) surgery for AS?
