Some of the most destructive types of arthritis – e.g., rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis – can be halted with currently available treatments. However, for the most common type of arthritis – i.e., osteoarthritis (also called “wear and tear” arthritis or degenerative arthritis) – our treatments only reduce pain but do not prevent further damage.
